Signs of a failing hard drive can be quite obvious such as a sluggish computer, programs loading slowly and simply a computer not booting into the Windows or Apple operating system. And don’t forget the good ole’ blue screen of death! You would think that with so many ways a hard drive can die there is no way to tell if it is about to happen. Though did you know that you can tell if a computer’s hard drive is showing signs of future failure by simply listening to the computer itself?
A computer’s hard drive, depending on the model, should make little to no noise when working properly. If you are noticing any of the noises in this video you should back up your data as soon as possible. Preventive data backups can save you a great deal of money, especially when compared to costly data recovery services.
